Application Administration Manager

The Application Administration Manager leads a team of Application Administrators. The Manager owns the overall approach to application administration for the various services supported by the Business Systems team and is responsible for delivering stable services that meet the needs of our users and stakeholders.


We expect from you to:

  • Provide line management and leadership for a team of application administrators.
  • Develop an uniform approach to application administration across the services supported by the Business Systems team.
  • Implement industry best practices to maintain stable services, automate tasks where possible, and monitor for deviations and issues.
  • Design, implement and maintain application alert monitoring and investigation.
  • Manage shift coverage for overnight batch processing.
  • Prioritize and manage service request fulfillment, and first-level incident investigations.
  • Act as an escalation point for incidents and work with development and service delivery teams to resolve incidents.
  • Manage support for development projects by providing things like test data setup and data cleansing and migration.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of some small changes.
  • Participate in change deployments, patching, and other maintenance by bringing services down before maintenance, back online after maintenance, and testing to verify maintenance success.

Our ideal match has:

  • 5+ years of experience in application administration or service delivery.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution, or 10+ years of work experience in a related role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize competing priorities and meet parallel deadlines.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to set clear strategy, direction and goals.


  • Familiarity with Intellectual Property management.
  • Familiarity with GDPR requirements, ITAR requirements, and ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 controls.
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits.
  • A broad technical understanding of a wide range of platforms and technologies.
